The AOHR during its meeting chaired by Hon. Mr. Adel Bin AbdulRahman Alasoomi, President of the Arab Parliament and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the AOHR, paid tribute to Saudi Arabia’s efforts and initiatives to end the crisis and to achieve security and stability in Yemen, and emphasized the importance of supporting efforts to end the Yemeni crisis, whose humanitarian repercussions are exacerbating, through a political solution based on approved references, namely the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism, the outcomes of the comprehensive Yemeni national dialogue, and the UN Security Council Resolution No. 2216.

The AOHR called on all Yemeni parties to build on the commencement of these consultations and to respond to endeavours to find a political solution to the crisis; at the same time reiterated its strong condemnation and denunciation of the ongoing Houthi attacks on the KSA, its installations and infrastructure threatening the lives of civilians and terrorizing the safe people, further to attacks on energy sources and threat to international peace and security and the stability of the entire Arab region.
