Spiritual Celebration on the Occasion of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday in Fez Under the Supervision of Sheikh Dr. Aziz Al-Kubaiti Al-Idrisi Al-Hassani

In the ancient city center of Fez, Sheikh Dr. Aziz Al-Kubaiti Al-Idrisi Al-Hassani, one of Morocco’s prominent Sufi figures, organized a majestic celebration on the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) birthday. A group of scholars and experts in Sufism and Islamic sciences gathered at the center to partake in this blessed event, which was filled with profound spiritual atmospheres and noble meanings.

The event, which lasted over a day, featured recitations of the Prophet’s prayers and collective dhikr (remembrance), filling the surroundings with divine devotion. It also included scholarly lectures and Sufi practices that highlight the authenticity and richness of Moroccan Sufism. The scholars delivered sermons that discussed the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the importance of commemorating his life in a manner aligned with the spiritual values promoted by Sufism, such as love, humility, and mercy.

During his speech, Sheikh Dr. Aziz Al-Kubaiti emphasized the significance of the Prophet’s birthday in strengthening spiritual and social bonds. He explained that remembering the Prophet enhances love for God and cultivates good morals, within the framework of Sufism that elevates the heart and intentions. He urged everyone to continue reviving this grand occasion in an authentic Sufi manner that reflects love for the Prophet and promotes peace and love among Muslims.

Amid an atmosphere of spirituality and contemplation, participants engaged in dhikr recitations and infused their souls with the fragrance of remembrance in a setting of unity and tranquility. This celebration managed to embody a harmonious blend of knowledge and spirituality, appearance and essence, reviving the memory of the Prophet’s birthday in a way that reflects the depth and authenticity of Moroccan Sufism.

This event exemplifies the ongoing interaction between Sufi heritage and Moroccan identity, which upholds principles of tolerance, love, and spiritual elevation. It was a special occasion that brought together knowledge and faith, celebrating the birth of the best of creation, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
